Exogenous Neurotransmitters: The New Fire

The substances society calls drugs are simply upgrades and new circuitry to the human biocomputer or food for the brain. We can ingest neurotransmitters that have been slightly modified either from natural chemical processes found in plants or chemical processes made in a laboratory by humans; or a combination of the two. The ingestion of these exogenous neurotransmitters can radically change the way we perceive, think and see the world.

It is clear now that some of society has become dependent on exogenous neurotransmitters like cave men became dependent on cooking and fire. We must not get in the way of our own evolutionary development. Were there some cavemen in the past that were freaked out by fire, claiming it was “destructive” “immoral” or “gave an unfair advantage” and penalized others for using it? I bet there were individuals and tribes that tried to stop others from using fire, but the ones that had access to fire had such a monumental advantage they could not be stopped and clearly prevailed.
